• CEM Diploma in Quantity Surveying (degree equivalent)

James joined the Dunedin office of Rawlinsons in 2006 as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, after emigrating from the United Kingdom.

James has over thirty years of quantity surveying experience in professional offices and small and large construction companies, working in estimating, cost planning, tender documentation and contract administration. James worked in London for fifteen years and gained many years’ experience on hospital developments and on London Underground station upgrades. Fifteen years in the New Zealand construction industry has given him a wide variety of experience on a large range of local and national projects, for both private and public clients

James has worked closely with the University of Otago, Dunedin City Council and Otago Museum on a number of projects and has developed an extensive knowledge on city three waters and roading infrastructure projects.
