Catholic Diocese of Christchurch Marian College Rebuild
This project is being retrofitted inside the former Foodstuff distribution centre, one of the largest commercial buildings in the South Island. The existing structure has been strengthened and will accommodate teaching spaces, including specialist teaching, performing arts, administration/offices, gymnasium, protected courtyard, covered courts and a Chapel within its structure. A portion has also been demolished to accommodate a playing field.
The school’s original location was on North Parade, Christchurch but following the 2011 earthquake the school was forced to leave the site after the banks of nearby Dudley Creek slumped and the land suffered significant damage.
