Taiora QEII Recreation and Sports Centre

The Taiora QEII Recreation and Sports Centre project delivered a modern aquatic and fitness facility designed to support recreation, wellbeing and community connection following the loss of the original QEII facilities. 

The 5,500m² facility includes a leisure pool with a lazy river and water play features, a 25-metre lap pool, learn-to-swim pool, hydrotherapy pool, spa, sauna, steam room, fitness centre, café and a 130-metre hydroslide. 

Rawlinsons provided full Quantity Surveying and Cost Management services throughout the project. Working closely with the wider project team and Christchurch City Council, our involvement focused on maintaining budget certainty and supporting the successful delivery of this complex. This project was delivered ahead of schedule and under budget.
